The Spotlight is On: Pedro Lopez

This week we meet Senior Software Developer Pedro Lopez.

Where are you from? What brought you to Barcelona?

I was born and raised in Barcelona. I like living in here, because I am close to my family. I play a lot of sports, but racket sports are my favorite.

Why did you join Cien? What is it about the company’s vision, product and team that made you want to join Cien?

I really like startups. The growth potential is exciting and building something from scratch is very fulfilling. Cien is a perfect example of this. The fact that Cien’s product is based on AI, it can deliver so much value compared to other solutions that don’t leverage this technology.

What’s the best thing about your job?

The best thing about my job is the fact that I work with very talented, energetic and nice people.

What have you learned since you’ve joined Cien?

Management skills

In your opinion, are the developments in AI going to take our jobs?

I think AI will take some jobs, as well as force people to develop skills and careers in other areas.

How do you apply the Cien core values in your day to day work?

I do my work the best that I can. I stay proactive and try to help other people to do the same.

What is the best advice you have ever received?

It’s never too late to do the right thing.
