This week we meet Customer Success Intern Alexandra Adams.

Where are you from? What brought you to Barcelona?

I’m from DeWitt’, Michigan. Since I was in high school, I have always wanted to study abroad in Spain. Since I wasn’t able to do it during the school year, I looked into summer programs that had internships associated with it and I found IES Abroad!

 

Why did you join Cien?

When I read the job description for Cien, I immediately wanted to join  because of the line, “If you like working on challenging and intriguing projects in an entrepreneurial environment that welcomes creative approaches and solutions, then our internship is the right next step for your career.” I loved the idea of an entrepreneurial environment.

 

Describe your role in three words.

Help. Innovate. (Drinking) Coffee.

 

What’s the best thing about your job?

I have made genuine connections with my coworkers, which makes me excited to come into work everyday.

 

What have you learned since you’ve joined Cien?

For the past couple of years I have been asked where I am going to apply after college or what industry I want to go into. Since I’ve joined Cien, I realized that I don’t necessarily care about what industry I go into. I care about the type of environment I work in.

 

In your opinion, are the developments in AI going to take our jobs?

I believe AI will make our jobs easier.

 

How do you apply the Cien core values in your day to day work?

Daily successes! Making sure I accomplish what I set my mind to each day and help my managers as much as I can.

 

What is the best advice you have ever received?

“Trust your instinct….your gut.”
